Oxford

Oxford is a city in central southern England and is a county town of Oxfordshire with just a short distance to the west of London. The city of Oxford has plenty of parks, meadows, and gardens alongside rivers running throughout the city and loads of scenic waterways and lush green spaces. The blend of Oxford’s ancient University and its colleges surrounded by a modern and bustling city give the city a unique character.

The city revolves around the University of Oxford which is the world-famous university and is the oldest in Britain.  It is known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ because of its spectacular architecture such as the Bridge of Sighs and Bodleian Libraries. Oxford is a major British centre of arts, technology innovation, and science. It has a wealth of historic attractions including the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and Norman ruins of Oxford Castle.

Oxford is home to two major universities namely the University of Oxford and Oxford Brooks University. It is one of the most culturally diverse and historic cities in the UK with a diverse international student community that form almost a quarter of the city’s population.
